Who can attend:
• Holds Syrian citizenship
• Has a desire to study a bachelor’s degree in Japan
• Holds a high school diploma or will obtain it by June 2019
• His English is good
• Interested in learning and studying in English and Japanese
* Those who have had difficulty registering for the grant next year are very welcome this year as well and can obtain guidance from the work team responsible for the grant.
* Please note that the scholarship does not include engineering, medical and pharmacy majors.
*Also, this scholarship is for undergraduate students and not for postgraduate studies.

Information Session on the Japan ICU Foundation’s “Syrian Scholars Initiative (SSI)”
• Scholarship for Undergraduate Students at International Christian University (ICU) in Japan –
Date and time: 11th March (Sunday) 11:30AM-1:30PM
Presenters:

Participant qualifications:
Syrian nationals who
• are interested in pursuing undergraduate education in Japan
• have graduated or will graduate high school by June 2019
• are proficient in English (TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5)
• are committed to studying in both English and Japanese
*Those who faced some difficulty in applying for SSI in the previous year are highly welcome and can have consultation form JICUF staff member.
*Please note that (1) ICU does not offer engineering, medicine, or pharmaceutical science majors, and (2) this scholarship is for undergraduate students and graduate students are inligible.
