It is one of the Turkish public universities, located in the Douali district of the city of Kayseri. The university was established in 1978 in the Turkish city of Kayseri. It was initially called “Kayseri University” and the Faculty of Medicine associated with Hajiteppa University and the Faculty of Administration and Economics, which was also affiliated with Hajjetpeh University, were established. In 1982, the university became independent, and its name became “Arcis University” in relation to Mount Arcis, which has a height of 3916 meters and is located in the southwest of the city of Kayseri.
