Bahçeşehir University was established in 1998. It aims to become one of the top five hundred universities in the world by 2023. Raising the slogan (The University of the World is in the heart of Istanbul and the meeting point of the two continents), as it is considered one of the top 40 Turkish universities and one of the best 1800 universities in the world, according to the latest statistics for 2017.

Bahçeşehir University has branches all over the world in the following countries: Washington and Silicon Valley in the United States of America, Berlin in Germany, Toronto in Canada, Georgia, Azerbaijan, China, Italy and Northern Cyprus. In addition, the university has exchange programs for professors and students with many of world universities.

The university has eight faculties, four institutes for preparing graduate programs, and four schools, including an English and Turkish language school, a vocational school, a vocational school for health services, a school for applied specialties, and a scientific research center.

Recently, Bahçeşehir University received the United Nations Prize for Global Education from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahçeşehir University University, Enver Yucel, for this year’s “Global Education Prize” by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon.

Bahçeşehir University has great educational capabilities in its various scientific departments through its educational programs. Bahçeşehir University has cooperation agreements with many universities around the world, such as: New york university, and Harvard University, and Stanford University, and Mukugawa University, and the Berlin University of Technology, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Through the “My University Campus is the Whole World” project, A student at Bahçeşehir University has the opportunity to continue his studies in many universities that have a cooperation agreement with Bahçeşehir University in the United States or Europe.

Bahçeşehir University is considered the pioneer in Turkey by implementing the COOP project, which is based on cooperation between the university and the labor market.

This project, which was launched from the concept of “My University Campus is my workplace. It has cooperation agreements with 800 factories inside and outside Turkey. This agreement provides the possibility of training and work experience for Bahçeşehir University students in institutions and bodies that cooperate with the university.

The term “branded course” is also one of the original innovations of the CO-OP education model of Bahçeşehir University, at the end of these courses, factories provide lessons by their managers in order to nurture an outstanding workforce in the field of these factories, their products, services and applications.
