Batman University was founded on May 28, 2007 AD, and the university has two campuses, One in the city center and the other in the Patti Raman area. The university provides students with all the requirements of social and cultural development in the university life. Batman is considered one of the most developed cities in Turkey, as it contains many commercial and shopping centers, cultural and educational institutions, with a population of about 400,000 people. Batman University has the College of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering which is only in this university and only other university in Turkey.
