Osmania University was established in 1976. In one of the buildings belonging to the municipality of the city of “Osmaniye” in southeastern Turkey, On November 4, 1981, it was transformed into an Institute for Basic Studies and its administrations were linked to “Cökur Ufa” University in the city of Adana.
In light of the Turkish government’s endeavor to advance human development, On June 23, 2006, I worked on transforming the Osmaniye Institute for Basic Studies into the Osmaniye Korkut Ata University. The Faculty of History and Engineering was inaugurated as the first two faculties of Osmania University, which gained its administrative and academic independence that year.
Osmania Korkut Ata University has 5 faculties and 2 postgraduate institutes. It houses a number of healthy cafes and restaurants through which the student can entertain himself. It also has a soccer field, basketball court, indoor gym including swimming pool and other sports equipment.
