YILIZ TEKNIK ÜNİVERSİTESİ
This university was founded in 1911 as a school linked to the Ministry of Public Works, based on the curriculum of a French school, and its name was the Technical School, and the aim of its establishment was to meet the needs of the Ministry of Public Works. In 1937, the school had engineering departments with a study period of four years, and scientific departments for two years and the university was transferred to Yildiz Palace. In 1943, the Department of Architecture and the Department of Electrical Engineering were opened. In 1941, the university was linked to the Ministry of Education and the Department of Real Estate Engineering and Map Engineering was opened. The university became the first Turkish university to study this branch at that time. In 1992, the university officially took the name Yıldız Technical University.
